The forelimbed “left” creatures went extinct, replaced by these hindlimbed creatures. Given they share a funnyhead with the earlier creatures I believe they share a no-limbed, funnheaded common ancestor with them (like the scaley creature in the bottom right. Could he be their progenitor?).
